Carter DeWitt, Vice President of Development
No stranger to public policy organizations, Carter DeWitt brings over 25 years of experience from national, state and local levels to help donors match their support – whether it be time, talent or treasure – to the projects and missions that resonate in their hearts and minds.
As vice president of development, Carter leads a newly strengthened development team enabling donors to support Franklin Center’s vision – ensuring that policymakers, officials, and groups working to advance legislation become aware of the stories we expose and of the need to advance policies that prevent corruption, waste, and abuse.
She is a recent addition to Franklin Center, lured back to the national scene – despite vowing never to leave Florida again – because of her strong belief in the leadership team of Franklin Center, and a recognition of the great work to come.
Carter’s past positions include vice president of development at the Tax Foundation and senior vice president of development at Florida TaxWatch.
In her spare time she rescues great danes and leaps over tall buildings in a single bound. Okay, so elevators, ladders and bungees are required for the building thing, but she does have a “Grand Danois”.
