Laurel Patrick is the Director of Communication and Media Outreach for the Franklin Center.
Laurel has years of experience as a strategic communications professional for the State of Wisconsin and Wisconsin State Legislature. Most recently she served as the Director of Communications for the Wisconsin Department of Administration, where she oversaw communication strategy for 17 cabinet agencies, as well as served as a primary spokeswoman for the administration.
Prior to that she served as Governor Scott Walker’s Deputy Director of Communications and spokeswoman. She has also worked as Communications Director for the state Department of Revenue, as well as the Department of Children and Families.
Laurel holds a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Illinois, and a master’s degree in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois, Springfield. A Midwest farm girl at heart, Laurel will soon live in New Hampshire with her husband Tim and three fur babies.
